Wilbert Sybesma has over 25 years of experience in nutrition, health, and innovation across both industry and academia, including roles at Nestlé, DSM, Wageningen University, EPFL, and Balgrist University Hospital Zürich. His expertise spans probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics, fermented foods, and bacteriophages. In 2021, he founded Microbiome Solutions GmbH, a Swiss consultancy supporting organisations and investors in microbiome innovation. He is also the co-founder of the Yoba for Life Foundation, lectures in Food Biotechnology at EPFL, frequently speaks at scientific conferences, and has co-authored more than 75 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals.
