Gulrez is a Professor of Translational Physiology and the founder Director of the Centre for Nutraceuticals at the University of Westminster, London. His research expertise spans the diverse areas of formulation science, metabolism, neurodegeneration, and sports nutrition. He collaborates with industry partners worldwide and has led the clinical validation of multiple nutraceutical products. He has also helped develop the UK’s leading liquid iron supplement as well as a range of sports supplement products in partnership with the international footballers Mathieu Flamini and Mesut Ozil. Gulrez has published 75+ research articles and leads a research team that includes over 20 academics.
