Philip is an Internationally recognised researcher on nutritional immunology, the metabolism and functionality of fatty acids with an emphasis on the roles of omega-3 fatty acids. He is currently Associate Editor of Clinical Science, Journal of Nutrition and Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism.
In the past, he has been the President of the International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids and Lipids, Chair of the Scientific Committee of the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, President of the Nutrition Society, President of the European Branch of the International Life Sciences Institute and President of the Federation of European Nutrition Societies.
Philip was also Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Nutrition and has served on many other Editorial Boards. He has published over 800 scientific articles excluding abstracts, has received many awards and he Leads the i-NutriLife Hub funded as part of the Diet and Health Open Innovation Research Club.
